Delete your data

You can do it yourself, at any time. It takes a minute, and it happens straight away.

Before you delete

Deleting can’t be undone. If you might want your saved topics later, download them first: on your account page, under Export your data, click Download JSON. Attached files download separately, from Files.

How to delete your account

1. Open your account page. If you aren’t signed in, click Sign in, and sign in with the same email address, or the same Google account, you used in your assistant.
2. Scroll down to Account, and click Delete account.
3. Type delete in the box.
4. Click Delete my account and its data.

The page then says Your account and its data were deleted.

What gets deleted

• Every topic you saved, with its earlier versions, its links and its attached files.
• The record of the assistants you connected and the apps you approved. They can no longer use your account.
• Your sharing, if you used it. Topics you shared stop being available to the people you shared them with, and you lose access to topics shared with you. Shares sent to your email address that you haven’t accepted or declined end too.
• Changes to your profile or memory that are waiting for your approval.
• Your sign-in account at Clerk, the company that runs Relay’s sign-in.

What stays

• What you saved or attached in someone else’s topic stays there, with your email address. That topic belongs to the person who shared it.
• In topics other people shared with you, their sharing history keeps your email address (when they shared it with you, and when you joined or left).
• Platform backups are deleted within 30 days.
• A scrambled code that marks your old account as deleted, so an old sign-in can’t open it again. It holds nothing you saved.

Remove Relay from your assistants too

Deleting your Relay account doesn’t remove Relay from ChatGPT or Claude. Remove it there as well:

• ChatGPT: Relay’s app is called Relayz in ChatGPT. Click Relayz, then Manage, and remove it.
• Claude: click Customize, then Connectors. Click Relay, and remove it.
• Other apps: remove Relay in that app’s connector settings.

Can’t sign in?

Email us at support@relayz.ai from the email address you signed up with, so we know it’s you. Ask us to delete your Relay account and its data. We aim to reply within 7 days.

If the page said Deletion needs attention, deletion didn’t finish. Your assistants can no longer use your account, but your saved data is still there. Email us and we’ll finish it.
